January 2010!

Well, since the first of the year I have spent 7 days scrapbooking with my awesome group of scrappy girlfriends, 16 days working at my job that I absolutley LOVE at The University of North Florida, 4 days babysitting for two of my grandchildren, William and Olivia while my daughter (their Mom) Kristin and my daughter Caroline went up to Boston to meet their new niece (my new granddaughter) Annabelle, born on Dec 21st. (What a fantastic Christmas present for our family!!!) I was lucky enough to go up and meet her just after Christmas for a few days. She is a sweet angel for sure! I also enjoyed seeing her big sister Adeline and my daughter Theresa and son-in-law, James. I miss them so much! Celebrated two birthdays, my nephew Marshall turned 13 and my friend Jenny, well, we won't say how old she is. Happy Birthday to both of them. Started watching The Bachelor, OMG he's cute! and American Idol (some people are just plain crazy!). And oh yeah, I hate to admit it but I watched Jersey Shore and liked it! I must think about getting a life! I spoke every day to my best friend in the world, HELEN who I miss everyday because she lives in Massachustts and I live on Florida! I pray for a peaceful exit from this life for Mr D, my sister-in-laws father, who is very ill.

As we approach this last week in January I am feeling a little sad. On the 28th it will be 10 years that my best friend, the father of my chidren and the love of my life passed away. My life has never and will never be the same. We spent 27 wonderful years together and I miss him every day. I hope your "On The Road Again" Carl and may you forever rest in peace. I will love you always. xo

So with that I will end my January post and will promise once again to post more in 2010!

With love,
The Girl from Boston

HAPPY JUNE!

Well, crazy at it seems we are already into June, where the heck does the time go?? I've already enjoyed the beach a few times and even the pool. Here in sunny FLA the temperature is already climbing to the 90's. My grandkids are loving the sun, sand and sea and I'm loving that they are enjoying it. I may have to move closer to the beach!!
Down at the bottom of my page I have added a slide show (I'm trying not to be so technically challenged). I'll have to tweak it a little, but not bad for an amateur. Enjoy it!
I also hope to finally upload some scrapbook pages so check back to check them out.
School will be out soon and Sweet Caroline will start looking for a job. The summer is too long to just hang around, but for the first few weeks she will complete her Community Service with her sister Theresa, (a first grade teacher). She will assist her with the end of the year teacher stuff and help move her classroom. Got to keep those teens busy....
Well, I hope you all enjoy the upcoming fabulous weather and don't forget the sunscreen !

Friday, May 23, 2008

Wow, Today is the 23rd of May, it's been a while since I've posted. So I celebrated my 51st birthday with a wonderful barbeque at Theresa and James house. The girls and my best friends Helen and Tom(from Boston also) gave me a 5 day trip up to Cape Cod to visit. I just returned and what a great time I had. Helen and Tom have a new home on Cape Cod and what a home it is. Simply gorgous! We did a lot of eating, drinking and relaxing. It was awesome to spend 5 days together and they were wonderful hosts.
Also, we celebrated Williams 2nd birthday. I can't believe he is 2 already. He is such a joy, talking and learning new things every day. He loves The Backyardigans, the beach, his new bike and any ball he can throw (maybe a future Red Sox star!) Adeline and Olivia each at 9 months are growing and crawling and pulling up on everything. They as well make me smile every day.
Caroline is finishing up sophmore year and looking forward to the summer and a summer job, I hope.
I am scrapbooking like crazy, with subjects like these babies, how can I not keep busy with that. I love my job, so I look forward to going to work every day (how many people say that, huh?), but now that the weather is betterI do look forward to the beach on the weekends.
Well I'll wrap up and hopefully post sooner than later. Peace.

HAPPY 16th BIRTHDAY!

Okay, Okay so I still can't think of much interesting in my life that you'd care to read in this blog but here is a big going-on in the Leone Family. Sweet Caroline turned 16 yesterday, yes 16. Where did the gosh darn time go. I love her so much and am so thankful that Carl and I finally had her after trying for 9 years. With a 12 year old and a 9 year we never thought we'd have another child but lo and behold here she came back in 1992. Little did I know that I would lose Carl 8 years later. Thank you Lord that that little girl gave me every reason to get up in the morning. So to my Sweet Caroline I wish you the happiest of birthdays, especially SWEET SIXTEEN! I love You!
